LS1 Stock Bassani X Bassani True dual prototype system (pics)

I finally received some clips of their Aft-Cat system along with a review from the owner:

I thought I'd offer up some sound bites and pics of the Bassani 57985S Aft-Cat - seeing as the Bassani section is looking a little anemic.

My car is a 2002 Camaro SS.  It came from the factory with the 345 HP optioned Dual/Dual.  The Bassani is loud and aggressive but not obnoxious sounding.  It has an even, deep tuned sound.  Sounds great all through the RPM range.  I'm sure this system will work well with future exhaust mods (headers) because it is close to the Dual/Dual as having very little rasp.  Although, I would choose the Dual/Dual for a daily driver over the Bassani (I'm a big fan of the DD).

The car has stock manifolds (yes, I know.. ). At the time of recording the engine had a XE 222/222 114 LSA cam. Idle @ 850.  The car does have the SLP Y-Pipe - it does deepen the exhaust tone a little - but not much.  I've done the cam before the headers because of curiosity.  What I have found with this car is that stock manifolds flow better than what most give them credit for - not great but not the POS that some say they are. Again, this is what I have found with this car. I've had fairly good gains with the right choice of cam and tuning - I just can't decide on which headers to get...

Thanks for the site. It is a great resource for those looking for that "perfect " exhaust sound for their car.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff!
